KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Bradley point guard Walt Lemon, Jr. (Chicago, Ill./Julian H.S.) has been named to the five-man NABC All-District 16 men's basketball squad, according to vote of National Association of Basketball Coaches announced today.

District 16 is comprised of the 10 Missouri Valley Conference schools and Lemon is joined on the first team by Creighton forward Doug McDermott, Illinois State forward Jackie Carmichael, Evansville guard Colt Ryan and Indiana State guard Jake Odum. The second-team consists of the Wichita State duo of Carl Hall and Cleanthony Early, as well as Illinois State guard Tyler Brown, UNI guard Anthony James and Drake forward Ben Simons.

Lemon and James will square off tonight when the Braves (18-16) visit Northern Iowa (20-14) in a quarterfinal game of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament at UNI's McLeod Center.

A 6-foot-3 junior, Lemon has enjoyed one of the best all-around statistical seasons in Missouri Valley Conference history. The fourth player in program history to lead the Braves in both scoring (15.5 ppg) and assists (3.7 apg), Lemon has joined Bradley legend Hersey Hawkins as the only players in Valley history to score 500 points (526), grab 100 rebounds (140), dish out 100 assists (127) and record 70 steals (74) in the same season. Hawkins far exceeded all four thresholds during his 1988 national Player-of-the-Year season.
