PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley men's golf team will travel to the Chicago area for the sixth consecutive year, but will be playing in a spring tournament near Chicago for the first time since the 1990-91 season next week when the Braves participate in the Kemper Intercollegiate in Glenview, Ill., Monday and Tuesday.

Bradley is one of 14 teams in the field for the inaugural Kemper Intercollegiate, which is behind hosted at the par-72 Glen Club by Northwestern.  The Braves will take on seven other in-state opponents during the 54-hole event with Chicago State, DePaul, Illinois State, Loyola-Chicago, Northern Illinois and Western Illinois joining BU and tournament-host Northwestern in the two-day event.  Dayton, IUPUI, Ohio, Ohio State, Marquette and St. John's round out the field.

Monday's play is slated to begin at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start and feature two rounds, with the tournament wrapping up with a single round Tuesday beginning with 8 a.m. tee times.  BradleyBraves.com will provide a link to live scoring for all three rounds.

The Braves are coming off a second-place finish at the Bradley Invitational in the team's only home tournament this year.  After battling windy conditions during Saturday's opening day of the Bradley Invite, BU matched a school record with a six-under par 282 in Sunday's final round and finished two shots behind team champion Valparaiso.

Junior Andrew Weisenborn (Columbia, Ill./Columbia) was one of three Bradley players to shoot under par in Sunday's final round and won a playoff for medalist honors after carding a career-best four-under par 68.  Weisenborn's final-round 68 was the lowest round by a Bradley golfer since October 2007 and he owns a 74.6 stroke average over his last five rounds.

Sophomore Danny Masrin (Palatine, Ill./Jakarta International School) continued a strong spring season, concluding the Bradley Invitational with a career-best two-under par 70.  Masrin, who tied for third overall, owns a 75.9 stroke average this spring.

Fellow sophomore Seth Trolia (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) earned his team-best third top-20 finish of the year, tying for ninth last week, and has posted a team-best 75.3 stroke average this spring.

Junior Kyle Gunther (Dunlap, Ill./Peoria Christian) is also coming off a career-best round, firing a two-under par 70 Sunday and has lowered his season stroke average to 77.6 per round.  Fellow junior Daniel Young (Metamora, Ill./Metamora) turned in one of his best rounds of the spring, shooting a two-over par 74 Sunday at WeaverRidge Golf Club and owns a 77.2 average in his last two events.

Following the Kemper Intercollegiate, the Bradley men's golf team travels to Cape Girardeau, Mo., for the Missouri Valley Conference Championship April 29 & 30.
