PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley sophomore men's basketball players Jalen Crawford (Detroit, Mich./Oak Park H.S.) and Shayok Shayok (Ottawa, Ontario/St. Patrick's) have asked and been granted permission to transfer to other institutions following the 2012-13 school year, second-year Braves head coach Geno Ford announced Tuesday.

“We appreciate the contributions both Jalen and Shayok have made to Bradley Basketball, on the court and in the classroom, and we wish them luck as they continue their careers,” said Ford.

A 6-foot-2 guard, Crawford was Bradley's second-leading reserve scorer in 2012-13, averaging 3.9 points per game with 25 3-pointers. A 6-foot-8 forward, Shayok played in all 67 games during his two-year career as part of the frontcourt rotation, averaging 2.5 points per game as a Brave.

The Braves enjoyed one of the best turnarounds in the country this past season, finishing the year with an 18-17 overall record after advancing to the quarterfinals of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament.
