PEORIA, Ill. – The bottom three hitters in the Bradley order combined for four hits and five runs batted in, leading the Braves (16-25) to a 10-6 win against Eureka (9-25) Tuesday night at Peoria Chiefs Stadium.

Bouncing back from a 20-0 defeat at the hands of the Braves April 2, Eureka attacked Bradley from the outset, taking a 1-0 lead on three straight singles in the first inning, then rallying to pull even, 5-5, with a 4-run fourth.

Bradley regained control with a 5-run outburst in the fifth inning, highlighted by left fielder Mike Tauchman's 2-out, 2-run triple.  Tauchman, who came into the game leading the Missouri Valley Conference with a .411 batting average and .503 on-base percentage, finished 2-for-4 with a walk in his five plate appearances to bump up both averages.  Third baseman Curtiss Bunch and right fielder David Compitello both were 1-for-3 with two runs batted in on a RBI double and sacrifice fly, while first baseman Eric Paulson (2-for-3, 2 doubles) and center fielder Max Murphy (2-for-5) both contributed two hits to Bradley's 9-hit attack.

Eureka touched six Bradley pitchers for 12 hits, including two each from Raymond Marrero (2-for-5), Mitch Johnson (2-for-5), nick Passarella (2-for-4) and Brian Munson (2-for-3).

Bradley will continue its season-long, 12-game home stand with a weekend Valley series against Southern Illinois.  The series will open with a 6 p.m. game Friday night at Peoria Chiefs Stadium. Friday's game will be Galesburg Community Night. Saturday's 2 p.m. game will be the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game and the Braves will wear pink uniforms.  The team's seven seniors will be recognized in a pregame ceremony before Sunday's 1 p.m. series finale.
