Injured Bradley men's basketball players Mason Alwan (foot) and Ka'Darryl Bell (shoulder) will not be able to play during the team's trip to the Bahamas Aug. 11-16, but the two guards both are contributing to Bradley's blog coverage of the trip.  Below is Bell's first entry as the Braves prepare to head to the islands Sunday morning.

I have to start off by saying how excited I am to go to the Bahamas. I personally have never been out of the States before, so this trip is going to be very memorable for me.

This summer the guys really have put in a lot of work and hours in the gym and I can't wait to see them put it all together in the Bahamas. I was really impressed with how fast the new guys came in and picked up on everything so quickly. They all play really hard and can help our team in many different ways.

Personally, I can't wait to get back on the floor with the guys. I sit on the sideline everyday in practice wishing I could play, but it excites me to watch and see from a spectator's view how good we actually can be. I will be returning to practice when we return to campus after our short break when we return from the Bahamas. My shoulder is almost a 100% and my hungry attitude is looking to gain me a bigger role this year.

Overall, I can't wait to see these guys play in the Bahamas. Even bigger than that, I can't wait to start this winning season we are going to have. With the talent, toughness and chemistry we have, I don't know why we cant be successful this year.
