PEORIA, Ill. – The 2013-14 Bradley Men's Basketball schedule continues to near completion with today's announcement of non-conference home start times and locations, as well as the date for the annual Red-White Scrimmage.
The unofficial start to the hoops season will be Oct. 18 when the Bradley Men's and Women's Basketball teams host the annual Red-White Scrimmage in Renaissance Coliseum. A featured event in the school's Homecoming schedule, the 8 p.m. event will be a lead-into the popular Late Night BU student activity. Admission will be $5 for the Red-White Scrimmage.
Meanwhile, the Bradley men's basketball non-conference schedule will include three games on campus at Renaissance Coliseum, a pair of doubleheaders with the women's basketball team and a pair of Saturday night games.
As previously announced, the Braves will play three games on campus at Renaissance Coliseum, starting with the exhibition opener Oct. 28 versus Upper Iowa (7 p.m.). The Braves also will host Alabama State Nov. 10 (4 p.m.) on campus in the second round of the Global Sports Invitational, as well as IUPUI Dec. 4 (7:30 p.m.) in the second half of a Bradley Basketball doubleheader with the women's team at Renaissance Coliseum. All three games will be included in complete Bradley Basketball season-ticket packages in the Courtside, Platinum, Gold and Silver levels, while Bronze-level season-ticket buyers may choose one of the three on-campus games to be included in their packages. Tickets for the Dec. 4 game against IUPUI also will provide admission for the 5 p.m. women's game versus Eastern Illinois.
With a hockey game at Carver Arena that night, as well as Bradley Soccer's regular-season home finale at 6 p.m. at Shea Stadium, the men's basketball team's second exhibition Nov. 2 versus West Virginia Wesleyan will tip off at 1 p.m. at Carver Arena. Bradley's six remaining non-conference games at Carver Arena all are slated for 7 p.m. tipoffs: Nov. 8 versus Jacksonville State, Nov. 12 versus Central Michigan, Nov. 15 versus Chicago State, Nov. 30 versus Texas-Pan American, Dec. 10 versus IPFW and Dec. 28 against South Florida.
The Nov. 15 game versus Chicago State will be the first half of Bradley's first men's and women's basketball doubleheader of the season. The women's basketball team will host Stony Brook in a 9:30 p.m. clash at Carver Arena and one ticket again will provide admission for both games. Women's Basketball season tickets will include admission to both men's basketball games in the two doubleheaders.
Single-game ticket pricing and buying dates will be announced following the announcement of the Missouri Valley Conference schedule. Season tickets currently are on sale through the Bradley Athletics Ticket Office in Renaissance Coliseum in seven price points, starting as low as $110.
