CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Seth Tuttle scored eight of his game-high 24 points in UNI's game-opening 14-0 run and the Panthers (7-6, 1-0 MVC) never looked back en route to a 80-46 win against visiting Bradley (5-9, 0-1 MVC) in the Missouri Valley Conference opener for both teams Wednesday night at McLeod Center.

Bradley actually bounced back from the game's opening run and pulled to within 21-20 on two Ka'Darrly Bell free throws with 7:02 left in the half, but the Panthers went answered with an 11-0 run to break the game open for good. A 10-0 Panthers run to start the second half left no doubt about the final outcome. Together, UNI outscored Bradley 35-0 in 7:00 of collective game time in the three runs.

Bradley senior guard Walt Lemon, Jr. led the Braves with 17 points, surpassing Bradley legend Bob Carney for 19th on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,359 career points.
But Lemon's offensive effort was not near enough to overcome UNI's dominance in most every aspect of Saturday's game. UNI committed only four turnovers and converted Bradley's 13 miscues into a 19-3 advantage in points off turnovers. The Panthers also buried 10-of-23 3-point field goal attemps, compared to 3-of-16 by the Braves, including 0-for-6 in the second half. Bradley made just 8-of-20 total field goal attempts in the second half and 17-of-46(.370) for the game and did not help itself with a 4-for-13 free throw effort in the second half.

The Braves will try to snap their seven-game losing streak Saturday night with a 7 p.m. Valley game against Drake to open a 2-game home stand.
