Game Notes | The Starting Five
1) The last of the Missouri Valley Conference's 10 teams to leave home, Bradley will play outside of Carver Arena for the first time this season when the Braves continue play in the Corpus Christi Coastal Classic with a neutral-site game against TCU Friday night at American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
2) While Bradley will be trying to win its third straight game overall, the Braves also will be attempting to snap several losing streaks: a 2-game slide in the series against TCU, a 4-game skid away from home and a 10-game drought in neutral-site games.
3) In a series that dates back to 1945, Friday's game will be the ninth all-time meeting between Bradley and TCU and the Braves own a 5-3 series advantage. The Horned Frogs have won the last two matchups, however, most recently earning a 74-68 victory in the championship game of the 2010 Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off in Springfield, Mass.
4) Bradley is playing in a multi-team event (MTE) for the ninth consecutive year, but the Braves have dropped five consecutive MTE neutral-site games since its 64-63 win against Southern California in the semifinals of the 2010 Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off. Ironically, Bradley's MTE neutral-site losing streak started the following night with a 74-68 loss to TCU.
5) The winner of Friday's game will face the winner of Mississippi State-Saint Louis in Saturday's 6 p.m. championship game, while the losers will meet in Saturday's 3:30 p.m. consolation game.
