ST. LOUIS - Bradley Soccer goalkeeper Logan Ketterer is the Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week, according to an announcement from the league office Monday afternoon.
Ketterer helped the Braves (8-9-0) to a pair of wins last week, while extending his personal shutout streak to 187-minutes, 24-seconds. He came off the bench to replace injured starter Shay Niemeyer in Tuesday's 2-1 win against Belmont and make two saves to hold the Bruins scoreless over the final 58 minutes, allowing the Braves to complete their rally from an early, 1-0 deficit. Ketterer was the starter in Friday's 1-0 win at Rutgers and made six saves against the Big 10 Conference opponent for his third shutout of the season.
For the season, the redshirt sophomore boasts a 0.91 goals against average and a .804 saves percentage in his 11 games.
Bradley will close out the regular-season Saturday by hosting Valley rival Drake in a 7 p.m. kickoff at Shea Stadium. The game against the Bulldogs will be the final regular-season home game for five Bradley seniors - Desmond Campbell, Johnny Contreras, Boris Happi, Zach Kovacevic and Cody Lofgren - and the quintet will be honored in a pregame ceremony as part of the annual Senior Night activities.
