PEORIA, Ill. - Halftime entertainment, fan giveaways and new pregame pyrotechnics will be introduced as Bradley opens its 111th men's basketball season during the next two weeks.
Bradley fans will get their first look at the Braves in a competitive environment Thursday when they host NCAA Division III Augustana in a preseason exhibition and Bradley officially will open the 2014-15 season Nov. 14 by hosting Texas-Arlington. Both games will tip off at 7 p.m. at Carver Arena.
The first 500 fans to Thursday's exhibition game against the Vikings will receive 2014-15 MVC-TV Schedule static cling stickers and Bradley University's Delta Sigma Theta sorority Stomp Team will perform at halftime. Bradley will debut new pyro effects during pregame introductions for the Nov. 14 regular-season opener and Cosmic Colt will perform at halftime of the game against UT-Arlington. Cosmic Colt is a stunt performer who has worked with Cirque du Soleil and in more than 60 countries.
Tickets for both games begin at $8 and both games are options for the Marquee 3 Package, a 3-games-for-the-price-of-2 promotion that includes the Feb. 4 game versus nationally-ranked Wichita State, the Feb. 18 I-74 Rivalry game against Illinois State and the non-conference game of the buyer's choice for as low as $16. Groups of at least 15 may purchase tickets for just $4/ticket by contacting group sales coordinator Joe Dolan at (309) 253-8136.
Bradley's complete 2014-15 men's basketball promotions schedule is expected to be announced Friday.
