LAS VEGAS - Omari Grier came off the bench to score a game-high 13 points, but Bradley could not overcome a cold-shooting finish as UC Irvine (5-5) rallied for a 55-47 win against the Braves (4-7) in the opening round of the South Point Holiday Hoops Classic Sunday afternoon at South Point Arena and Equestrian Center.

Bradley will play Arkansas-Little Rock in Monday's consolation game, an 11 a.m. PDT tip at South Point Arena and Equestrian Center. UC Irvine will take on Green Bay in Monday's championship game.

Bradley used a 15-0 run midway through the first half to build a 25-11 lead, but after Jermaine Morgan's basket wtih 4:11 remaining in the first half gave Bradley a 27-14 lead on 12-for-21 (.571), the Braves managed to make just three of their final 35 field goal attempts.

The Anteaters took advantage and used a 21-2 run spanning halftime to take control of the game. UC Irvine pushed its lead to as high as 12 points, 43-31, with 10:32 remaining, but left the door open for a Bradley comeback attempt.

Despite its cold-shooting effort from the field, Bradley made 12-of-16 free throw attempts in the second half and had three shots with an opportunity to cut the deficit to one possession in the final 2:09, but came up empty on all three shots.

Although UC Irvine made just 10-of-29 (.345) of its 2-point field goal attempts, an 8-for-15 (.533) effort from 3-point range helped turn the tide.

Tramique Sutherland scored 12 points as Bradley's only other double-digit scorer. Jeremaine Morgan grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds for the Braves for his first career double-digit rebounding effort. The Anteaters also had two double-digit scorers, Travis Souza with 12 points and Jaron Martin with 10.
