Bradley will open the 2014 Missouri Valley Conference Men's Basketball Championship against league newcomer Loyola Chicago in the second first-round game Thursday night at Scottrade Center in downtown St. Louis ... Bradley swept the regular-season series versus the Ramblers and the Braves will be seeking a third win against one opponent in the same season for the first time since 2001 (UNI) ... Bradley is seeking its first MVC Tournament win since 2011, a first-round victory against Drake, 63-48 ... The Braves also are looking for their first win west of the Mississippi River since that 2011 MVC Tourney win against the Bulldogs, a skid that now has reached 25 games with an 0-for-7 effort this year ... Though Bradley boasts a 32-17 lead in the all-time series against Loyola, the Ramblers are 2-0 in neutral-site games in the series.

Thursday's Bradley-Loyola game in the first round of the MVC Tournament is being broadcast on the MVC-TV Network ... FOX Sports Midwest is the flagship outlet of the MVC-TV Network and Comcast SportsNet Chicago provides coverage for much of Bradley's fan base, however, contractual obligations the NHL's St. Louis Blues and Chicago Blackhawks will prevent the main channels from carrying the Bradley-Loyola game in Illinois and Missouri ...
