PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley men's and women's track and field teams have another busy week on tap with many Braves heading to California for three different meets, while the rest of the squad will travel to Edwardsville, Ill., Saturday for the Gateway Classic.

The busy week starts Thursday and Friday at the 56th annual Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif.  Junior Chase Coffey (Hanna City, Ill./Farmington) kicks things off Thursday in the steeplechase at 9 p.m. (CDT) as he looks to challenge his own school record in the event.  Thursday's action will also include senior Whitney Schumacher (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly) in the women's 10,000 meters.

The Braves will run at two different meets in the Los Angeles area Friday, with competition at the Mt. Sac Relays opening at 1 p.m. (CDT) with the women's 1,500 meters.  Sophomore Emily Delvo (Springfield, Ill./Sacred Heart Griffin) will try to improve on her Missouri Valley Conference best time of 4:26.66, while freshman Casey Kramer (Yorkville, Ill./Yorkville) will attempt to improve on her season-best time of 4:35.95, which ranks eighth in the MVC.  Delvo will also run in the 800 meters at the Mt. Sac Relays later that day.

Junior Eric Delvo (Springfield, Ill./Sacred Heart Griffin) is coming off a pair of the top 1,500 meter times in the Valley this season and will try to top his school record of 3:47.55 set earlier this month.

Sophomore Kristen Busch (Waterloo, Ill./Freeburg) looks to add another school record to her resume, running the 5,000 meters at the Mt. Sac Relays after setting school marks in both the 3,000 meters and 10,000 meters this spring.  She will be joined in the 5,000 meters by eight-time all-conference runner Sarah McMahon (Colfax, Wis./Colfax).

Friday's action will also include the Brian Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., with the Braves slated to compete in both the men's and women's 800 meters and 1,500 meters starting at 5 p.m. (CDT).

On Saturday, Bradley will be running at the Gateway Classic in Edwardsville, Ill., starting at 1:30 p.m. in addition to the Long Beach Invitational in Norwalk, Calif.  Competition at the Long Beach Invite is scheduled to begin at 11:20 a.m. (CDT) for the Braves and will include the 800 meters, 1,500 meters and 5,000 meters.

The Gateway Classic will open with sophomore Elizabeth Dutcher (Williamston, Mich./Williamston) in the javelin at 1:30 p.m. and she will also compete in the long jump and 100 meter hurdles.  The day's running events are scheduled to begin at 3:15 p.m. with the men's 3,000 meter steeplechase and the meet is slated to conclude with the women's 5,000 meters at 7:30 p.m.

The Bradley track and field teams are scheduled to run at the Redbird Invitational Saturday, May 3 in Normal, Ill.
