PEORIA, Ill. - Bradley's men's and women's cross country teams dominated the 28th Bradley Intercollegiate Friday at Detweiller Park. The Braves were responsible for five of the top 10 NCAA Division I finishers in the 3-mile women's race and the top four finishers, as well as eight of the top 10, in the NCAA Division I 8K men's race.
The Division I results were computed as dual races, while the non-Division I competitor results were scored as an invitational. On the women's side, junior twin sisters Kristen (17:10.4) and Caitlin Busch (17:10.5) broke the tape together to pace Bradley and the men's race saw a similar result with seniors Chase Coffey (25:03.8) and Eric Delvo (25:03.9) crossing the finish line together in winning fashion for the Braves.
Bradley will return to action Oct. 3 by participating in the Notre Dame Invitational. The Braves will host the Bradley Classic Oct. 17 and the NCAA Midwest Regional Nov. 14, both at Newman Golf Course.
