PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior Madison Kamp (Orland Park, Ill./Chicago Christian) notched a career-high 11 kills to lead Bradley, but the Braves couldn't keep pace with pre-season Missouri Valley Conference favorite Wichita State which boasted a .353 attack percentage as the Shockers posted a 25-20, 25-13, 25-17 sweep Friday at Renaissance Coliseum.

Kamp hit .318 in the match and was the only Bradley (0-13 overall, 0-3 MVC) player with more than seven kills, as she finished with a match and career-best 11 in the setback.  Junior Lea Sack (Lincoln, Neb./Pius X) helped the Braves to a 48-41 advantage in digs, collecting a match-high 14 to pace BU's defensive efforts.

Sack tallied eight of her 14 digs in the opening set to help Bradley to a 21-13 advantage in digs in the first stanza.  A Kamp kill pulled the Braves even at 19-19, but Wichita State (8-5 overall, 2-1 MVC) built a 22-19 lead on a kill, block and Bradley attack error.  Another Kamp kill pulled Bradley within two points at 22-20, before Wichita State's Mikaela Raudsepp sandwiched a pair of kills around a BU attack error to close out a 25-20 Shocker win.

Wichita State took control of the second set early on, using a 7-1 spurt to build a commanding 17-6 advantage.  The Braves got no closer than eight points down the stretch as the Shockers took the frame 25-13 to go up two sets to none.

Bradley raced out to a 10-5 lead in the third set with Kamp, freshman Afton Sobasky (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran) and fellow frosh Taylor Thiele (Aurora, Neb./Aurora) each tallying a pair of kills to highlight BU's opening spurt.  Wichita State, which hit a blistering .515 in the third set, chipped away at the Bradley lead and eventually tied things up at 12-12.

MaryAshton Floyd found the floor with three kills to help highlight a 10-1 Wichita State spurt to give the Shockers a 23-14 lead.  Kamp was a perfect 5-for-5 on attack attempts in the third set, but Floyd and Jenny Whiteledge each had five third-set kills of their own to power Wichita State to a 25-17 victory to complete the sweep.  Floyd paced Wichita State with nine kills in the contest and was one of four Shockers to finish with eight or more kills.

Bradley closes out a two-match home stand Sunday with a 2 p.m. match against Missouri State at Renaissance Coliseum.  The Braves will host a free post-match clinic open to all children (1st through 8th grade).
