DENVER, Colo. – Summit League preseason favorite Denver hit a blistering .415 and collected 12 blocks to sweep Bradley 25-11, 25-8, 25-15 Saturday afternoon at the Pioneer Classic.

Denver (5-0 overall) hit .333 or better in each of the three sets and set the tone early with seven blocks in the first frame en route to a 25-11 victory.  The Pioneers jumped out to a 9-3 lead and later closed the set with a 7-0 run.

A 12-0 Denver run midway through the second set gave the Pioneers a commanding 22-5 lead and Bradley was down two-sets-to-none after a 25-8 setback.  The Braves couldn't keep pace with a Denver offense which hit .440.

Another strong offensive performance in the third set helped Denver jump out to an early 10-3 advantage.  The Pioneers, who hit .440 in the third set, went on to complete the sweep with a 25-15 win.

Senior Madison Kamp (Orland Park, Ill./Chicago Christian) notched four of her team-high five kills in the third set to lead a short-handed Bradley (0-5 overall) squad, which was without leading attacker Jessie Tulacka (Westmont, Ill./Downers Grove North) who missed the match due to injury.

Cassie Baird paced Denver's offensive attack with eight kills and attacked at a .700 clip.  Moni Corrujedo added seven kills and four blocks to help lead Denver.

Bradley concludes play at the Pioneer Classic later this afternoon with a 6 p.m. (CDT) matchup against Sam Houston State.
