ST. LOUIS - Bradley freshman guard Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye (London, England/Bristol Academy) is the first Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week, according to a release from the league office Monday afternoon.
One of 10 Bradley freshmen, Lautier-Ogunleye played a game-high 38 minutes in Friday's 54-53 win against Ball State, finishing with game-highs of 18 points and three assists to go along with eight rebounds. He was among the quintet of Bradley freshmen on the court for the game's final 7:29, helping the Braves overcome an 8-point deficit to secure the season-opening win.
The Braves (1-0) return to action tonight at #12/10 Arizona, which will be trying to extend the nation's longest active home court winning streak. The Wildcats have won 39 consecutive games at McKale Center. Tonight's game will be televised nationally on the Pac-12 Network.
