OPENING TIPS
• The youngest team in college basketball will face the two-time, defending ACC champion Thursday night when Bradley takes on No. 6 Virginia in the final game of the opening round of the 2015 Gildan Charleston Classic.
• Both Bradley and Virginia will be looking to rebound from their first losses of the season: Bradley is coming off a 90-60 loss at #12/10 Arizona, while Virginia stumbled at George Washington, 73-68, Monday night.
• Thursday's nationally-televised (ESPN2) game will be the third all-time meeting between the Braves and Cavaliers and Bradley will be looking to improve to 3-0 in the series.
• Coming off Monday's 90-60 loss at #12/10 Arizona, Bradley is playing consecutive games against top 12 ranked opponents that each won at least 30 games last season.
• The Braves are facing opponents ranked among the top 12 nationally in consecutive games for the first time since taking on #1 UCLA Dec. 22, 1967 and #2 Ohio State Dec. 27, 1967.
• As Bradley prepares for three games in the Gildan Charleston Classic, the Braves will be trying to snap a 9-game losing streak in regular-season tournament games since knocking off Southern California, 64-63, in the 2010 Basketball Hall of Fame Tipoff Tournament in Springfield, MA.
