After playing consecutive games against a pair of top 12 ranked teams who each won at least 30 games last season, the youngest team in college basketball will return to action Thursday night when Bradley (1-2) faces Seton Hall (2-1) in the consolation semifinal round of the 2015 Gildan Charleston Classic Friday night at TD Arena … Bradley is coming off consecutive lop-sided decisions - Monday at #12/10 Arizona (90-60) and Thursday versus #6/6 Virginia (82-57) - and the Braves now are playing on less than 24 hours rest against Big East Conference member Seton Hall Friday … The winner of Friday's Bradley-Seton Hall matchup will face the winner of Friday afternoon's Ole Miss-Towson matchup in Sunday's fifth-place game (3:30 p.m.), while the two losers will meet in Sunday's seventh-place game (1:30 p.m.) at TD Arena.

Bradley freshman forward Luuk van Bree hit consecutive 3-pointers to give Bradley a 22-19 lead with 7:38 left in the first half, but No. 6 Virginia closed the half on an 18-3 run en route to an 82-57 win against the Braves in the final game of the opening round of the Gildan Charleston Classic Thursday … Virginia carried over its strong first-half finish to the second period by making 14 of its first 17 field goal attempts of the second half … While Virginia outscored Bradley by just one point from the field in the first half, the Cavaliers made 12-of-13 free throw attempts, compared to 1-of-4 by Bradley, to build its 37-25 halftime lead … Van Bree was Bradley's only double-digit scorer, sharing game-high honors with 16 points

AGAINST THE BIG EAST
Bradley is 95-99 all-time against the 10 current members of the Big East Conference with 45 percent of those games coming against former Missouri Valley Conference rival Creighton (41-46) … Bradley owns a winning record against four Big East members - Marquette (15-10), Providence (4-0), St. John's (4-3) and Xavier (3-1) - and a .500 record against Butler (11-11), Seton Hall (1-1) and Villanova (2-2) … Friday's game against Seton Hall is Bradley's first against a Big East team since the latest round of conference realignment.
