ST. LOUIS - Bradley Soccer represents one-quarter of the 2015 Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Team, according to a vote of the league's sports information directors announced Monday by the conference office.

Senior forward Grant Bell (Little Falls, MN/Little Falls HS), sophomore defender Clark Emerson (Grand Prairie, TX/Mansfield Lake Ridge HS) and junior defender Andrew Kovacevic (Naperville, IL/Neuqua Valley HS) all landed on the first team, while senior midfielder Joe Morales (Colorado Springs, CO/St. Mary's HS) earned honorable mention recognition.

An honorable mention MVC Scholar-Athlete in 2014, Bell led The Valley with 10 assists in 2015 and finished as the league's second-leading scorer with 18 points. The senior forward owns a 3.27 cumulative grade point average as a business management and administration major.

Emerson is the only member of the 16-player MVC Scholar-Athlete Team to boast a perfect, 4.0 grade point average. A mechanical engineering major, Emerson missed the first five games of the 2015 season due to injury, but played in each of the last 15, including five starts.

Kovacevic is a repeat selection to the MVC Scholar-Athlete first team and he boasts the team's second-best cumulative GPA at 3.96. The finance major played in 13 games, starting nine, in 2015.

Morales has recently been accepted to medical school and the biochemistry major entered the Fall semester with a 3.68 cumulative grade point average. Morales played in all 18 Bradley games in 2015 and was sixth on the team with 15 starts.

In all, 16 players from around the league were recognized, 12 on the first team and four honorable mention selections. The criteria for the All-MVC honor parallels the CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) standards for Academic All-America voting. Nominees must be starters or important reserves with at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.00 scale). Also, students must have participated in at least 75 percent of the regular-season matches or played in the league tournament. Student-athletes must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at their institution (true freshmen and redshirt freshmen are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at their institution.
