Box Score

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Junior Kayla Rymer (New Berlin, Wis./Catholic Memorial) had a career-high 13 digs, while sophomore Jamie Livaudais (Fenton, Mo./Rockwood Summit) and freshman Erica Haslag (Jefferson City, Mo./Helais Catholic) tied for team-high honors with eight kills in a 25-6, 25-19, 25-23 setback for Bradley volleyball at Indiana State Saturday.

Rymer posted a career-best 13 digs to lead the Braves defensively and also added an ace.  Haslag and Livaudais combined for 15 of Bradley's 26 kills in the final two sets, with each finishing the night with a team-high eight kills.  Haslag pushed her season kill total to 259, which is tied with Lindsay Stalzer for the most by a Bradley freshman since 2002 and is tied for the sixth most by a Bradley frosh in program history.

Indiana State got off to a strong start, hitting .344 in the first set.  The Sycamores jumped out to a 7-1 lead and never looked back, taking the opener 25-6.

The second set was close throughout, before a 5-1 Indiana State run put the Sycamores out in front 22-15.  Indiana State hit .357 in the second and posted a 25-19 second-set win despite five kills in the frame by Haslag.

Bradley erased a five-point deficit in the late stages of the third set with junior Kelsey Cave (Solon, Iowa/Solon) tallying two kills and a block during a 6-1 run by the Braves which tied the score at 22-22.  Indiana State later held match point at 24-22 when Livaudais notched her fifth kill of the set to cut the Sycamore lead to 24-23.  A Bradley service error closed out the set, however, as the Sycamores completed the sweep.

Senior Lea Sack (Lincoln, Neb./Pius X) helped highlight the night for the Braves with 10 digs to push her season dig total to 441, which is tied for seventh among Bradley season marks.

Kynedi Nalls led Indiana State with nine kills and Melody Burdette added eight kills to pace the Sycamores.

Bradley will open the final home stand of the 2015 season Friday when the Braves host Missouri State in a 7 p.m. match at Renaissance Coliseum.
