Braves Post 7-3 Singles Record at CSU Invite

Women's Tennis Drops Opener at Mizzou

COLUMBIA, MO - The Bradley women's tennis team opened the 2016 dual meet season Saturday with a 6-1 loss to Missouri (1-0) at the Mizzou Green Tennis Center.

The Braves (0-1) earned their lone point at No. 6 singles, where frehman Malini Wijesinghe won by default, as Missouri played the match with only five players. Senior Irinka Toidze played the closest match, dropping a 6-2, 6-4 decision to Brittany Lashway, while sophomore Aimee Manfredo fell by 6-1, 6-4 scores at No. 5 singles.

Bradley will remain in Columbia for a neutral-site match Sunday afternoon against SIU Edwardsville. The Cougars open their dual-meet schedule Saturday afternoon against Missouri.
