Omaha Defeats Bradley Soccer

PEORIA, IL -- The Bradley soccer team lost in non-conference action on Tuesday night to Omaha, 4-0. The defeat drops the Braves to 2-10-3 on the season, while the Mavericks improve to 7-4-3.

Omaha grabbed the lead in the 30th minute and never looked back. Emmanuel Hamzat had his shot from right inside the box curl in near post for the 1-0 Mavericks advantage.

Three second-half goals then extended Omaha's advantage in the final 45 minutes. Fazio Alihodzic scored off a give-and-go in the 49th minute before Hamzat tallied his second in the 63rd minute and Noor Hamadi finished the scoring in the 79th minute.

The Mavericks finished the contest with a slight edge in shots, 17-15, while Bradley owned an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Bradley returns to Missouri Valley play on Saturday with a road contest at SIU Edwardsville. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
