PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley women's golf team will close out its fall schedule with its largest tournament and most competitive event of the year to date Sunday, Monday and Tuesday when the Braves take part in the Cardinal Cup in Simpsonville, Ky.

Bradley will play in the Cardinal Cup for the third consecutive year and this year's event will mark the earliest the Braves have concluded their Fall schedule since 2013-14.  The 16-team tournament, which will be held at the par-72 University of Louisville Golf Club, features 10 teams ranked in the top 100 of Golfweek.com's latest national rankings, including five teams in the top 50.

Highlighting the tournament field is #4 Florida State, #11 Illinois, #36 Wisconsin, #40 Kentucky, #49 East Carolina, #54 Louisville, #60 Maryland, #79 Middle Tennessee State, #83 Minnesota and #85 Columbia.  Also slated to join Bradley in the only three-day tournament of the Fall for the Braves are Kansas, Virginia Tech, Richmond, Cincinnati and Ball State.

Play gets underway Sunday with 9 a.m. (CDT) tee times and Monday's second round will also start with 9 a.m. (CDT) tee times, while Tuesday's final round will have an 8:30 a.m. (CDT) shotgun start.  BradleyBraves.com will provide links to live scoring via Golfstat.com.

The Braves are coming off a sixth-place finish in the 14-team field at the Rocket Classic last week, where junior Ally Scaccia (Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect) and freshman Taylor Ledwein (New Prague, Minn./New Prague) both tied for fourth.  The pair has carded each of their last nine rounds in the 70's.

In two previous trips to the Cardinal Cup Scaccia has shot a 232, tying for 39th in 2014 as a freshman.  She fired a one-under 71 in the second round of last fall's Cardinal Cup and owns a 77.33 career average at the University of Louisville Golf Club.  Scaccia is eighth all-time in program history with 53 career sub-80 rounds and needs three to move into a tie with Rikki Sobel for seventh.

Ledwein leads the team with a 75.38 stroke average through 13 rounds and earned her third top-10 finish of the year last time out at the Rocket Classic.  In 54-hole tournaments, she has posted an impressive 74.92 stroke average.

Sophomore Chloe Horton (Coral Gables, Fla./Ransom Everglades) has fired four consecutive rounds in the 70's, wrapping up the Rocket Classic with a 76.  She is third on the team with a 77.15 stroke average and has finished in the top 20 in three events this fall.

Fellow sophomore Frankie Saban (Orland Park, Ill./Carl Sandburg) and junior Abby Wellens (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) round out the lineup for the Braves.  Saban's season average is almost four strokes better than her average from her freshman season.  Wellens will see her first action since wrapping up the Cardinal Classic in Muncie, Ind., in mid-September with rounds of 76 and 79.
