PEORIA, Ill. – Ninth-year Bradley Softball head coach Amy Hayes received four commitments during the recently completed Fall Signing Period with Monday's announcement that Jillian Navarro (Tempe, Ariz./Desert Vista), Stacia Seeton (Mesa, Ariz./Westwood), Taise Thompson (Oxnard, Calif./Rio Mesa) and Vicki Zaluske (Pomona, Calif./Diamond Ranch) each signed National Letters of Intent to attend Bradley.

8381Jillian Navarro • Tempe, Ariz. • Desert Vista H.S.
Navarro hit .314 last year as a junior and the earned Offensive Player of the Year honors for Desert Vista High School after belting 10 home runs.  She also scored 26 runs and drove in 42 last season.  A second team East Valley Tribune All-Area selection, she helped the Thunder to school season records for wins and home runs.  In addition to softball, she also lettered in lacrosse.

Amy Hayes on Navarro
"She is a versatile athlete who can play any infield position as well as the outfield and has good pop in her swing.  We saw Jill play in the summer, but it was at camp where she showed us what she could really do.  Her instincts took over and every time we looked around she was making plays.  She will continue to help us build our program with her strong work ethic and leadership.  Jill plays for the AZ Bombers Gold coached by Michael Velasco."

8382Stacia Seeton • Mesa, Ariz. • Westwood H.S.
A four-year letterwinner in softball at Westwood High School, she earned first-team Mesa All-City honors twice and was a second-team selection in 2015.  In addition, she earned Arizona Interscholastic Association All-Section team honors each of the last two seasons.

Amy Hayes on Seeton
"Stacia can swing it and will be a strong bat to add to our lineup in 2018.  She has been a shortstop most of her career, but has the athleticism to play anywhere we may need. She plays for the Demarini Athletics out of Arizona for Coach Keith Householder. We are excited to dip into that part of the country with the signings of both her and Jillian."

8383Taise Thompson • Oxnard, Calif. • Rio Mesa H.S.
Thompson was named her team's MVP in 2015 and comes from the same club team (Aces) as current Bradley freshman Emma Jackson and Kealia Wysocki.  She was named to the Ventura County Star All-County Second team as a junior after she hit .439 with 24 runs, eight home runs and 18 RBI last season at the plate in addition to posting an 8-4 with 111 strikeouts over 84 innings of work in the circle.

"Taise is loaded with talent both offensively and defensively.  She is a hard thrower who will see time in the circle, but she has a huge upside to her game.  She is athletic enough to play anywhere from shortstop to centerfield, but it's her competitive nature that impressed me the most."

8384Vicki Zaluske • Pomona, Calif. • Diamond Ranch H.S.
Zaluske led her conference in runs and doubles last year, while ranking fifth with a .455 batting average.  In addition, she was second in the league with 13 stolen bases.  A first-team all-conference pick as a junior, she was named to the 2016 Division I All CIF Southern Section Team and also earned first-team All Inland Valley honors.  Zaluski also lettered in volleyball, helping the Panthers to a conference championship.

Amy Hayes on Zaluske
"Wrapping up a very athletic and diversified class, Vicki has proven to be a standout second baseman as well as a gritty outfielder.  She plays a lot like former second baseman Shannon King; and as a coach that competitiveness and athleticism really drew me in.  She plays for the California Firecrackers coached by John Lucero."

Bradley Softball is scheduled to open the 2017 season Feb. 10-12 at the Grand Canyon Kickoff Tournament in Phoenix, Ariz.
