Bradley Wraps Up Gulf Coast Showcase versus George Mason

Bradley wraps up play at the 2016 Gulf Coast Showcase in Florida with a matchup against George Mason in a battle for fifth place. The schools are set to meet for the first time on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. CT.
 

GULF COAST SHOWCASE
• The Braves wrap up the 2016 Gulf Coast Showcase in the fifth-place game against George Mason.
• Bradley lost its opener in the tournament to Hofstra, 92-90, before earning a 70-62 victory against Wofford on Tuesday.
• The Patriots advanced to the fifth-place game after a 93-56 loss to Houston and a 79-75 win versus Kent State.
 

ABOUT THE BRAVES
• The Braves are 3-2 this season, alternating wins and losses so far. Bradley is coming off a win in its most recent game, posting 70-62 victory against Wofford on Tuesday.
• Freshman Darrell Brown leads the Braves with 15.6 points per game, shooting 52.1 percent from the field and 52.6 percent from 3-point range.
• Junior JoJo McGlaston is also shooting better than 50 percent and ranks second with 13.4 points per game. He is making 56.8 percent of his field goals and 58.8 percent of his 3-point attempts.
• Freshman Koch Bar leads the Braves with 7.0 rebounds per game and 2.0 blocks per game.
• As a team, Bradley is shooting 46.8 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from 3-point range.

• The Braves and Patriots are meeting for the first time in men's basketball.
 

BRAVES VERSUS A10
• Bradley is 71-44 all-time against the Atlantic 10 Conference with most of those matchup coming against nearby Saint Louis.
• The Braves are 44-28 all-time against the Billikens and 27-16 against the remaining schools.
• One of two Bradley trips to the NCAA Championship game was against current A-10 member, La Salle. The Explorers defeated the Braves, 92-76, in the 1954 NCAA Final.
 

ABOUT THE PATRIOTS
• George Mason is 2-3 early in the season after splitting early-round games at the Gulf Coast Showcase. The Patriots also defeated Lebanon Valley, while losing to Towson and Mount St. Mary's.
• Marquise Moore leads the team with 17.8 points per game and 8.4 rebounds, connecting on 52.5 percent of his shots.
• Three additional players are averaging at least 10 points per game with Otis Livingston ranking second with 13.2.
• As a team, the Patriots are shooting 46.6 percent this season, while connecting on just 24.7 percent of their 3-point attempts.

Nov. 23 Highlight: Jim Molinari won his first game as head coach of the Braves program, posting a 63-53 victory against Saint Louis on Nov. 23, 1991. Molinari would win 174 games during his Bradley career, leading the Braves to the 1996 NCAA Tournament and five trips to the NIT.
 

SHOOTING IS TRENDING UP
• The Braves have improved tremendously in the shooting department in the last year.
• In its last three games, Bradley has shot at least 48 percent in five of its last six periods. The Braves only shot 48 percent in a half seven times during the entire 2015-16 season (64 halves).
• On Friday and Sunday, Bradley has made at least 50 percent of its shots in back-to-back games for the first time since Nov. 12 and Nov. 15, 2013 against Central Michigan and Chicago State.
• During the three-game run, Bradley has made 52.2 percent of its shots.
• Overall, Bradley is making 46.8 percent of its baskets this season and 37.8 percent of its 3-pointers – an increase of 8.8 and 9.9 percent, respectively. Last season, the Braves shot 38.0 percent from the field and 28.0 percent from 3s.
 

BRAVES RALLY FOR VICTORY
• The one time in the last three game the Braves didn't shoot at least 48 percent in a half, Bradley was able to regroup and rally for victory.
• The Braves converted only 33.3 percent of their shots in the first half on Tuesday and faced an 11-point halftime deficit, 36-25. Bradley nearly doubled its output in the second stanza and outscored Wofford, 45-26, in the final 20 minutes to earn a 70-62 victory.
• It marked the first time since Feb. 7, 2015 against Evansville that Bradley successfully rallied from a double-digit deficit at the break.
 

DOUBLE-FIGURES FROM McGLASTON
• Junior transfer JoJo McGlaston has become a double-digit threat this season.
• McGlaston has scored at least 10 points in all five games this year. He is the first Brave to start a year with five-straight double-digit games since Daniel Ruffin had nine-straight to begin the 2007-08 season.
• McGlaston is currently second on the team with 13.4 points per game, making 56.8 percent of his field goals and 58.8 percent of his 3-point attempts.
