Box Score Estero, Fla. – George Mason shot better than 65 percent in the second half to turn a one-point contest into a 77-66 victory against the Bradley basketball team on Wednesday. The Patriots improved to 3-3 and finished in fifth place at the 2016 Gulf Coast Showcase, while the Braves also moved to 3-3 and placed sixth.

The Braves dug out of an early hole in the game and eventually took the lead in the first half. After trailing by as many as 11 points, 17-6, Bradley responded with 12-1 run in less than three minutes of action to square the game at 18. The Braves then took the advantage with just 2:32 left in the half and led by as many as three points, 25-22, before George Mason scored the last four points to head into the break with a 26-25 advantage.

In the second stanza, a jumper by Koch Bar and a layup by Pittman put the Braves ahead, 29-27. However, the Patriots scored the next 14 points to take a 41-29 lead and never gave it back. Bradley pulled to as close as seven points but each time, George Mason used its hot shooting in the second half to keep itself ahead.
