Ledwein Named Bradley Athlete of the Month

Freshman Taylor Ledwein of the women's golf team is the Bradley Athlete of the Month for October, announced on Monday.

Ledwein led the Braves in 2-of-3 outings during the month of October, averaging 75.78 strokes per round during her nine rounds of play. The rookie placed sixth at the MVC Preview and her 220 score at the tournament is the second-lowest 54-hole total by a Bradley freshman and tied for the 14th-lowest total in school history.

Overall, Ledwein wrapped up the fall season with a team-best 75.94 stroke average, recording three top-10 finishes.

Ledwein earned the Bradley's Athlete of the Month accolades after a fan vote on the school's twitter page. Ledwein collected 49 percent of the vote to top Michael Ward of the men's cross country team (30 percent), Hannah Witczak of the women's cross country team (13 percent) and Drake Bushong of the men's golf team (8 percent).
