Erica Haslag Named COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

PEORIA, Ill. -- Sophomore outside hitter Erica Haslag (Jefferson City, Mo./Helias Catholic) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week after turning in her team-best sixth double-double of the year Saturday against Missouri State.

Haslag averaged a team-best 3.00 kills per set and also collected 2.67 digs per set in two home matches last weekend. She had eight kills and four digs against pre-season Missouri Valley Conference favorite Wichita State Friday, before tallying 10 kills and 12 digs in Saturday's contest against league-leading Missouri State. An actuarial science major, Haslag owns a 3.84 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Haslag and the Bradley volleyball team open the final road swing of the 2016 season Friday with a 5 p.m. match at Drake.
