Game Recap: Men's Basketball |
PEORIA, IL – The Bradley men's basketball team lost to Nevada in the Mountain West-Missouri Valley Conference Challenge on Saturday night, 91-69. The loss evens the Braves record at 4-4, while the Wolf Pack improve to 7-2.

Sophomore Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye led Bradley with 15 points and seven rebounds on the night. Freshman Nate Kennell and sophomore Antoine Pittman also reached double figures with Kennell pouring in a career-best 12 and Pittman adding 11.

Ultimately, it was a slow start to the contest that put the Braves in a hole that they couldn't recover from. After the team's traded baskets to start the contest, the Wolf Pack pulled away with a 10-0 run in a 2:10 span. The Braves pulled to as close as six points on multiple occasions after the strong start by Nevada but a 21-6 run stretched the lead from seven to 22, 44-22, before the schools headed into the intermission with the Wolf Pack ahead, 46-26.

The Braves pulled within 17 points early in the second half but couldn't cut into the Nevada lead any more. Overall, the Wolf Pack had a slight advantage in the second stanza, 45-43, to secure the 91-69 victory.

Bradley shot 43.5 percent on the night – with a 50.0 percent mark in the second 20 minutes of play – while also making 6-of-20 3-point attempts.

Nevada made 55.6 percent of its shots and 11-of-23 from beyond the arc. Jordan Caroline netted 23 points in the winning effort, while D.J. Fenner also scored 21 off the bench, making five of his six 3-pointers.

The Braves return to action on Tuesday with a road contest at Ball State. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT and can be seen live on ESPN3.

Game Notes: Kennell topped his previous best of nine points … Bradley's bench scored a season-best 42 points on the night … The Braves continued their trend of alternating wins and losses this season … Bradley is 0-5 in the Mountain West-Missouri Valley Conference Challenge … Nevada is now 2-1 all-time against the Braves.
