OPENING TIPS
• The youngest team in college basketball will make its first appearance at SIU Arena to complete the annual series against in-state Missouri Valley Conference rival Southern Illinois Wednesday night.
• Southern Illinois enters Wednesday's game tied for third in the MVC standings, one game behind Illinois State and three games behind leader Wichita State with four games remaining in the regular-season schedule.
