HOUSTON, Texas – The Bradley women's golf team claimed its first team title since the spring of 2013, winning the one-day Cardinal Challenge Wednesday to wrap up the squad's spring break to Texas.
The Braves shot 311 Wednesday at the Championship Golf Club par-72 Cypress Creek Course to edge second-place finisher and Missouri Valley Conference rival Southern Illinois (314) by three shots in the seven-team field. Fairleigh Dickinson and tournament-host Lamar tied for third at 316, with Texas A&M Corpus Christi (5th – 318), Indiana State (6th – 320) and Incarnate Word (7th – 324) completing the field.
The team title was Bradley's first since winning the Bradley Invitational at WeaverRidge Golf Club April 6 & 7, 2013.

Fellow senior Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sturgeon Heights) carded a four-over 76 to tie for seventh for her second top-10 finish of the spring and third of the season. Sophomore Ally Scaccia (Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect) joined the duo in the top in a tie for ninth as she fired a 77 for her 20th sub-80 round of the year.
Senior Allison Walsh (Mt. Prospect, Ill./Mt. Prospect) was part of Bradley's lineup for the first time this spring and tied for 23rd overall with an 83, while sophomore Grace Henderson (Peachtree Corners, Ga./Blessed Trinity) rounded out the team scoring for the Braves with an 87 to tie for 33rd overall.
