MIAMISBURG, OH - Junior Ashley Thai and freshman Malini Wijesinghe both moved up a spot in the singles lineup and earned victories, but those were Bradley's only two wins as the Braves (7-7) dropped a 5-2 decision to Wright State (8-2) Saturday afternoon at South Regency Tennis Center.
With regular No. 4 player Irinka Toidze out of the lineup Saturday, Thai stepped into the spot in the playing rotation and came through with a 7-5, 6-0 victory. Wijesinghe bumped up a spot and pulled out a 3-set win at No. 5 singles: 7-5, 6-7, 10-5.
Freshman Julie Martin played No. 6 singles in Toidze's absence, while fellow freshman Lindsay Haight filled Toidze's positon as Ariel Dechter's No. 2 doubles partner.
The Braves will have a full week off from competition and will try to end their 3-match losing streak March 15 at Lamar.
