The Opening Pitch
•  Having already played 21 of its 26 games this season away from home, Bradley will play its first Missouri Valley Conference road series of the season this weekend by visiting Evansville for a 3-game set at Braun Stadium.
•  Bradley opened league play by splitting a 2-game, weather-abbreviated series against #16 Missouri State last weekend at Dozer Park, while Evansville outscored traditional Valley power Wichita State, 18-3, in the final two games to earn a series win against the visiting Shockers.
•  Coming off Wednesday's 5-1 loss at Northwestern, Bradley is just 3-8 in its 11 true road games this season, while Evansville brings a 10-2 home mark into the weekend series.
•  The Purple Aces own a 48-38 lead in the all-time series, which dates back to Bradley's doubleheader sweep March 20, 1981 at Evansville.
•  Bradley took 3-of-4 against Evansville last season, including a 9-2 win against the Purple Aces in the opening round of the 2015 MVC Baseball Championship in Wichita.
•  A series win would give Bradley a winning MVC record through the first two league series for the first time since 2006 (4-2).
