LAWRENCE, Kan. – Sophomore
Haran Dunderdale (Grantham, England/Carres) finished 10th in the opening heat and 26th overall in the men's steeplechase at the NCAA West Preliminary to pace three Braves in the field for the Bradley men's track & field team Friday.
The steeplechase was originally scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Friday night, but was moved up to 1:25 p.m. due to forecasted inclement weather. Dunderdale was in the first of four heats, which started as rescheduled for 1:25 p.m., and took 26th overall in the field with a time of 9:11.68.
With two of the four heats completed, thunderstorms in the Lawrence, Kan., area forced the final two heats to be delayed until 7 p.m.
Seniors
Chase Coffey (Hanna City, Ill./Farmington) and
Eric Delvo (Springfield, Ill./Sacred Heart Griffin) returned to the track several hours later to both run in the third heat of the steeplechase and finished eighth and ninth, respectively in the heat.
