LAWRENCE, Kan. – Sophomore Michael Ward (Cardiff, South Wales/Llanishen) concluded action for the Bradley men's track & field team at the NCAA West Preliminary with a 26th-place finish in the 5,000 meters Saturday afternoon.

Ward earned a spot in the NCAA West Prelim 5,000 meter field for the second consecutive year, but was forced to withdraw from last year's competition due to injury.  The 2016 Missouri Valley Conference 5,000-meter champion, crossed the line at 14:32.08 to finish 26th overall and 15th in his heat. 

Ward was one of four Bradley men to earn a spot in the 2016 NCAA West Prelim field.
