The Bradley men's basketball team hosts Missouri Valley Conference rival Northern Iowa on Wednesday night. The teams are set to meet at Carver Arena at 8 p.m. with the game shown on the MVC TV Network.
 

PROMOTIONS
• Every home game includes Kaboom!'s Korner in the Great Hall lobby. Wednesday's contest features the Basketball Jam Bounce House and The Unique Twist Balloon Artist.
 

ABOUT THE BRAVES
• BU has alternated wins and losses through its first four Missouri Valley Conference games and is now 2-2 after a 78-62 setback to Loyola on Saturday.
• Overall, Bradley is 7-10 during the 2016-17 season.
• The Braves also own a 4-4 mark at Carver Arena this season, including a 1-1 record in MVC play.
• Freshman Darrell Brown leads Bradley with 12.2 points per game (14.0 during conference play) and 43 assists this year.
• Junior JoJo McGlaston is second on the team with 9.6 points per game, while sophomore Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye is third with 7.3 points.
• Freshman Koch Bar has collected a team-leading 6.0 rebounds per game and 1.5 blocks per game.
• As a team, Bradley is making 43.3 percent of its field goals with a 35.5 percent 3-point mark.
 

SERIES HISTORY
• In 57 all-time meetings between the Braves and Panthers, Northern Iowa holds the slightest of edges in the series, 29-28.
• Northern Iowa has especially had the advantage against the Braves as of late, winning 10 of the last 11 meetings between the two schools.
• The Panthers have won the last five meetings, tied for UNI's longest winning streak in the series.
• Bradley, however, is 18-8 against the Panthers in Peoria with the team's last win in the series coming at Carver Arena on Jan. 22, 2014.
 

ABOUT THE PANTHERS
• Northern Iowa is 5-10 this season and is still in search of its first Missouri Valley win at 0-4.
• Overall, the Panthers have dropped their last six games of the season.
• UNI is also 0-5 this year in true road games.
• Preseason MVC Player of the Year Jeremy Morgan leads the Panthers in scoring (16.6 per game), rebounding (6.7 per game), assists (46), steals (34) and blocks (23).
• Spencer Haldeman is second on the team with 8.8 points per game.

Record on Jan. 11: 15-15
Jan. 11 Highlight: A total of 17 players scored for the Braves in a 116-80 win over Houston on Jan. 11, 1958. The 116 points were the most by BU at the time, while the 99 field goal attempts and a +49 rebounding margin (70-21) marks still stand as records today.
 

SHOOTING ADVANTAGE
• Out of all stats in basketball, quite simply, BU games have come down to which team shoots better.
• The Braves are 7-2 this season when finishing with a higher shooting percentage. On the opposite end, Bradley is 0-8 when its opponent makes a higher percentage of its field goals.
• In the team's seven wins, Bradley is shooting 48.2 percent, while holding teams to 34.0 percent.
• In their 10 losses, the Braves are making 40.1 percent of their field goals, while their opponent is converting 46.2 percent of their shots.
 

HIGHS AND LOWS
• In MVC play, the team's field goal percentage defense has been especially key.
• In its two victories, Bradley has held its opponent to under 30 percent shooting in both games with a 25.6 percent mark overall and 10.5 percent clip from 3-point range.
• However, in its two losses, BU opponents have made at least 50 percent in both games with an overall percentage of 54.7 and a 46.0 percent mark from 3-point range.
 

LOOKING LIKE THE VETERANS
• The BU rookie class has been the driving force behind the Braves' offense in Missouri Valley play.
• Of the team's 65.5 points in MVC games, the Braves' four freshmen are averaging 35.5 points, accounting for 54.2 percent of the team's scoring.
• Freshman Darrell Brown leads all BU players with 14.0 points per game in conference games.
• For comparison's sake, BU's six sophomores have totaled 13.3 points per game and the three juniors are averaging 16.8 points.
 

KENNELL RAISES HIS GAME
• Freshman Nate Kennell has been the team's revelation of the conference season.
• After averaging 4.3 points per game during non-conference play, Kennell has averaged 11.5 points in MVC action in 20.0 minutes of play
• Kennell reached double digits once in 12 non-league games but scored 10 in 3-of-4 MVC games.
