Bradley and Lewis University Partner for Charity Exhibition Game

Bradley's waiver with the NCAA has been approved and the Braves are officially slated to host Lewis University in a special men's basketball exhibition Thursday night at 8 p.m. at Renaissance Coliseum. All proceeds will be donated to The Salvation Army, which is assisting in all of the areas devastated by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.

"We are so grateful to be able to partner with Bradley University and its fans to collect funds for hurricane relief," said The Salvation Army Tri-Country Director of Development, Rich Draeger. "With these funds, we will be able to continue to assist those affected in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico as they struggle to regain their lives. Thank you to President (Gary) Roberts, Dr. (Chris) Reynolds, Coach (Brian) Wardle and all the wonderful Bradley fans who are coming together to help friends in need."

In the wake of multiple hurricanes this year, the NCAA has allowed schools to apply for a waiver for a special additional exhibition contest that benefits relief efforts.

A $5 donation is suggested for general admission entrance into Renaissance Coliseum on Thursday with doors opening at 7 p.m.

The Flyers are an NCAA Division II program based in Romeoville, Illinois. Last season, Lewis posted a 19-13 record and advanced to the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship before falling to No. 4 ranked Bellarmine.
