Braves Open Season with Red-White Scrimmage

The Bradley men's basketball entertained more than 1,000 fans in attendance at the annual Red-White Scrimmage on Saturday afternoon. The White Team started strong and earned a 34-10 victory over the Red Team.

In the first 12 minutes, the White Team raced to an 18-1 lead and never looked back. Six different players scored for the squad during the opening stretch with seniors JoJo McGlaston and Donte Thomas each leading the way with four points apiece.

Luuk van Bree started the day strong and led the White Team with 10 points overall, making 4-of-7 field goals. Before the scrimmage, van Bree also connected on 13-of-15 shots from beyond the arc to team with Madison Dellamuth of the BU women's team to claim the 3-point contest crown.

Juniors Luqman Lundy and Antoine Pittman each scored five points to lead the Bradley Red Team on the afternoon.

After scoring six total points for the White Team in victory, McGlaston also won the dunk contest for Bradley with two dunks that totaled 56 points (of 60 possible points).

The Braves are back in action on Thursday night at Renaissance Coliseum, hosting Lewis University in a special charity exhibition game. First tip is scheduled for 8 p.m.
