Braves Race at Bradley Invitational

Seniors Mike Bianchina and Nicole Alfano led the Braves at the 2017 Bradley Intercollegiate on Friday afternoon at Donovan Park.

Alfano finished as the top Brave for the second time this season to start the meet, finishing the 5K course in a time of 19:43.3 to place fifth overall. The Braves finished in each spot from fifth to ninth as senior Jennifer Luksan crossed the finish line in sixth (19:47.8) and was immediately followed by Arsinoe Del Real (19:59.5), Morgan Lain (20:09.7) and Emma Makowski (20:16.8).

Bianchina finished as the top collegiate runner on the men's side as he placed third overall behind a pair of unattached runners. Bianchina ran the 8K course in 26:29.2 as he led a pack of three Braves in the top nine. Redshirt freshman Jon May was fifth in 26:45.4, while sophomore David Rodriguez finished ninth in 27:20.8.

The Braves are back in action next weekend, hosting the Bradley Classic on Friday before competing at the Pre-Nationals at Louisville on Saturday.
