Men's Cross Country 12/5/2017 10:48:00 AM
Senior Taylor Floyd Mews of the men's cross country team is the Bradley Athlete of the Month, earning the honor after a fan vote for the month of November.

Floyd Mews had a historic month for the BU cross country team in November. He recorded the highest finish in program history at the NCAA Midwest Regional at Iowa State, placing sixth overall as he earned an automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Championship. The NCAA All-Region selection became the second Brave in school history to earn the invite to the national championship. He then made his debut at the national meet and against the top 254 runners in the country, Floyd Mews placed 146th overall.

A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Floyd Mews capped his cross country career with another strong season in the Bradley Red & White. The senior helped lead the Braves to their third-straight Missouri Valley Conference Championship where his 12th-place finish while running sick was instrumental in the team lifting the trophy. Overall, he placed among the team's top two finishers in 5-of-6 races he ran this year, including the number one finisher in three of the last four.

Floyd Mews earned the Bradley Athlete of the Month accolades after a fan vote on the school's twitter account. Floyd Mews collected 39 percent of the vote to beat out Darrell Brown of the men's basketball team (33 percent), Vanessa Markert of women's basketball (17 percent) and Erica Haslag of volleyball (11 percent).
