SATURDAY DOUBLEHEADER STARTS 6-MATCH HOME STAND
Bradley will open its season-long, 6-match home stand Saturday by hosting in-state rivals Western Illinois (10 a.m.) and Chicago State (2 p.m.) in a doublheader at the David Markin Tennis Courts, perhaps the first time in the history of the program the Braves have been able to play home matches outdoors in February ... Although Western Illinois maintains a 23-16 lead in the all-time series against the Braves, Bradley has not lost a point to the Leathernecks in its current six-match series winning streak ... Bradley has won 13 of the last 14 overall against Western Illinois ... The Braves own a 10-4 lead in the all-time series against Chicago State and snapped a 3-match skid against the Cougars in the last meeting with a 5-2 victory in 2015.

MVC ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK
Ariel Dechter, Bradley, Sr., Mundelein, IL (Mundelein H.S.)
Dechter was named the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week Tuesday, the second time in three weeks and fifth time overall in her career she has earned the distinction ... Dechter officially became the winningest player in every measurable way in Bradley women's tennis history, while winning 3-of-4 matches in Bradley's split of road duals at Milwaukee and UIC ... Dechter claimed both of the school's career singles and doubles records outright Saturday when she teamed with Aimee Manfredo for a 6-2 victory at No. 2 doubles, then rolled to a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles in the 4-3 win against the Panthers ... Dechter now owns 59 career doubles victories and she added to her singles record with her 75th solo win Sunday at UIC.

WIJESINGHE PACING THE BRAVES
Sophomore Malini Wijesinghe (Apple Valley, MN/Apple Valley H.S.) continues to pace the Braves on the court through the first three weeks of the dual match season ... Aided by her 3-1 weekend in singles (2-0) and doubles (1-1) play this past weekend, Wijesinghe now leads the Braves with 15 individual wins to date this year ... Including a 4-1 record in dual play, Wijesinghe owns an overall 9-5 record in singles play and she has teamed with Alexa Brandt for a 3-2 doubles record this spring, giving her an overall 6-7 doubles mark to date this year.
