PEORIA, Ill. – Incoming Bradley soccer freshman
Jack Dunn (Davenport, Iowa/Bettendorf) was recently named to the TeamSnap Spring High School All-America team compiled by TopDrawerSoccer.
Dunn, was named the 2016-17 Gatorade Iowa Boys Soccer Player of the Year, helped Bettendorf record 15 shutouts and the 6-foot-2 defender led the Bulldogs to a 16-2-0 season which ended in the Iowa Class 3A state semifinals.
Bettendorf allowed just two goals in the regular season, both in the same game. A first-team class 3A all-state selection by the Iowa High School Coaches Association as a junior in 2016, Dunn was named to the 2017 Des Moines Register All-Iowa Elite Team, which recognizes the top players among all classes in the state of Iowa.
Dunn is one of five freshmen on Bradley's 2017 roster. The Braves will play host Northwestern Tuesday, Aug. 15 (7 p.m.) at Shea Stadium in Bradley Soccer's annual Danny Dahlquist Memorial Game. The 2017 regular season opens Aug. 25 against UT-Rio Grande Valley in Houston, Texas.
