Former Bradley Baseball outfielders Mike Tauchman (Triple-A Pacific Coast League) and Max Murphy (Class A Advanced Florida State League) both were named to the postseason all-star teams for their respective leagues, according to announcements made by the various affiliated professional baseball leagues across the nation this week.

The 2013 Joe Carter Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year, Tauchman is a fifth-year pro in the Colorado Rockies organization who has enjoyed two stints with the Big League club this season.  Tauchman's former Bradley outfield mate, Murphy is in his sixth year in the Minnesota Twins organization and was promoted to Double-A Chattanooga July 8.

Tauchman and Murphy become Bradley's second and third professional all-star selections this year.  Former Bradley shortstop Jason Leblebijian, who plays for the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons, was the starting third baseman for the International League during the Triple-A All-Star Game last month.

Braves in the Pros Update
Elliot Ashbeck (2013-15) | RHP | MiLB.com Bio
Tri-City Dust Devils (San Diego Padres) | Class A Short Season Northwest League

After missing more than a year due to early-season Tommy John surgery in 2016, Ashbeck has been dominant on the mound in his comeback, which started July 22 in the rookie Arizona League.  Since being promoted to Class A Short Season Tri-City, Ashbeck has struck out 13 with no walks and seven hits allowed in 10.2 innings, spanning seven relief appearances.  He boasts a .179 opponent battinga average and 0.66 WHIP in his seven outings for the Dust Devils.  In his most-recent outing Tuesday at Hillsboro, Ashbeck earned his first save of the year in Tri-City's 5-2 win by fanning three and allowing one hit in 2.0 shutout innings.  In his 13 combined appearances in the two leagues this summer, Ashbeck is 1-1 with one save and a 0.98 ERA.

Joe Bircher (2009-12) | LHP | Pro Bio
Sioux Falls Canaries (Independent) | American Association

Bircher enjoyed one of his best showings of the season Monday, when he held Gary to one run on six hits in 8.0 innings, but he did not earn the decision in the eventual 2-1 victory.  The crafty left-hander has logged a season-high 8.0 innings in each of his last two outings.  In fact, his last two outings versus Gary and Aug. 23 against Fargo-Moorhead, both no-decisions, represent the only two times in his four-year career in Sioux Falls he has worked more than 7.1 innings.  For the season, Bircher is 4-6 with a 4.56 ERA in 19 starts.

Matt Dennis (2014-16) | RHP | MiLB.com Bio
Asheville Tourists (Colorado Rockies) | Class A South Atlantic League

Dennis picked up the victory in his last outing Sunday against Lexington, helping Asheville to an 8-3 victory by limiting the Legends to three runs on six hits in his 6.1 innings.  In his first full professional season, Dennis is 7-6 with a 3.55 ERA in 40 overall appearances for Asheville, where he started the year in middle relief, but has worked as a starter in his last seven outings.  Though his work as a reliever has kept his total innings pitched (88.1) below the threshold to qualify for the league leaders (0.8 IP/team game), Dennis' 1.09 WHIP would rank seventh in the South Atlantic League.

Jason Leblebijian (2010-12) | 3B | MiLB.com Bio
Buffalo Bisons (Toronto Blue Jays) | Triple-A International League

Leblebijian appears to be emerging from a lengthy batting slump and threatened to hit for the cycle Saturday at Rochester, when he was 4-for-4 with a double and a triple.  In his last nine games dating to Aug. 22, Leblebijian is batting .333 (12-for-36) with three doubles and a triple.  With five games left in the season, Leblebijian leads the Bisons with 105 hits; 36 extra-base hits (21 doubles, 4 triples, 11 home runs); and 60 RBI's.

Max Murphy (2012-14) | OF | MiLB.com Bio
Chattanooga Lookouts (Minnesota Twins) | Double-A Southern League

Though he was named to the Class A Advanced Florida State League postseason all-star team earlier this week, Murphy has been playing with the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts since his promotion July 8.  In 47 games for the Lookouts, Murphy is batting .259 with 11 doubles and a home run and he has produced 50 runs in those 47 games.  His promotion came after batting .307 and producing 81 runs in 78 games for the Fort Myers Miracle.  With five games remaining in the regular season, Murphy is tied for third in the entire Minnesota Twins organization with his 131 runs produced.  After winning the Southern League North Division for the first-half of the season, the Lookouts also lead the second-half division race by 5.0 games and will begin the SL Playoffs Wednesday.

Cameron Roegner (2012-16) | LHP | MiLB.com Bio
Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (Milwaukee Brewers) | Class A Midwest League

Roegner has been on the 7-Day Disabled List since his last outing Aug. 3, when he allowed just one run on three hits with seven strikeouts in 5.0 innings of relief.  For the season, Roegner remains 5-2 with a 3.56 ERA in his 19 outings, including 10 starts.

Rob Scahill (2006-09) | RHP | MiLB.com Bio
Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Milwaukee Brewers)
| Triple-A Pacific Coast League
Scahill continues to shine for the Triple-A Sky Sox, where he is 0-1 with 10 saves in 10 chances and a 1.14 ERA in his 25 relief outings.  Scahill has allowed only four runs, three earned, in his 25 outings for Colorado Springs.  Scahill has worked three consecutive scoreless outings, earning saves Aug. 22 versus Oklahoma City and last Thursday at New Orleans, before Tuesday's scoreless eighth inning at Round Rock.

Mike Tauchman (2010-13) | OF | MiLB.com Bio
Colorado Rockies | Major League Baseball

Since returning to Albuquerque Aug. 24 following his second Big League call up, Tauchman has hit safely in six of his seven games back at Triple-A Albuquerque and he enters tonight's final home game batting .331 with 16 home runs and 80 RBI's for the Isotopes.  His .331 average ranks second in the Pacific Coast League and he also ranks sixth in the league in OPS (.941), tied for sixth in doubles (30), eighth in the league in slugging percentage (.555), ninth in runs scored (82), tied for ninth in triples (8) and 11th in on-base percentage (.386).  Tauchman, who has reached base safely via a hit or walk in 20 of his last 21 games for the Isotopes, also has enjoyed a .400 on-base percentage with two hits and four walks in his first 15 career MLB plate appearances during his two brief stints with the Rockies this season.
