EVANSVILLE, IN - Clark Emerson and Younes Dayekh each scored goals to put Bradley (6-3-1, 1-0-1 MVC) in front and goalkeeper Brandon Barnes recorded double-digit saves for a second straight game, but a controversial penalty kick for host Evansville (5-3-1, 0-1-1 MVC) led to a 2-2 draw in Missouri Valley Conference men's soccer action Wednesday night at Arad McCutchan Stadium.

Evansville's PK goal in the 61st minute snapped Bradley's shutout streak at 333-minutes, 50-seconds spanning five games, the seventh-longest shutout streak in program history.  Despite the draw, the Braves picked up an important road point in the conference standings, earning their first road result in league play since a 1-1 draw at Drake in the 2015 regular-season finale.

Emerson opened the scoring in the 14th minute to finish off a restart possession.  The defender collected the ball on the left endline, split two defenders and scored from a tight angle off the right post for his first tally of the season at 13:51.

Emerson also played a role in Evansville's equalizer in the 61st minute.  The Purple Aces played a ball over the top of the Bradley defense, setting off a race to the loose ball toward the top of the box.  Emerson was the last player back and appeared to easily shield Evansville's attacker as Barnes slid into to cover the loose ball, but was whistled for a foul when the attacker ran into him from behind.  Ian McGrath easily converted the resulting PK with a low shot inside the left post at 60:12.

The Braves reclaimed the lead, 2-1, in the 70th minute when freshman Younes Dayekh pounced on a poor Evansville clearance and shot from 17 yards out, rolling his fourth goal of the year past diving Aces keeper Frederik Reimer at 69:08.

Dayekh now shares the team lead with four goals, but he was denied his fourth game-winner when McGrath came up with his second equalizer in the 79th minute.  Zac Blaydes started the scoring play with a thru ball from midfield that slipped by Bradley's defender, freeing McGrath for a transition 1-v-1 chance against Barnes.

Despite going a man down for a red card foul in the 99th minute, Evansville outshot the Braves, 4-1, in the second overtime to finish the game with a 26-10 shots advantage.  Barnes, who made a career-best 11 saves in Bradley's 1-0 win at DePaul in its last game to win his second straight MVC Defensive-Player-of-the-Week award, added 10 stops Wednesday.

Boasting a 5-1-1 record in its last seven games, Bradley will return home Saturday to host Drake in a 7 p.m. Valley match at Shea Stadium.  The Braves will host Bradley Soccer Alumni Night Saturday as they celebrate the 30th anniversary season as a NCAA Division I program.
