PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior men's golfer Drake Bushong (Pekin, Ill./Pekin) has been named the Bradley Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after a runner-up finish at last week's Zach Johnson Invitational.

Bushong helped lead the Bradley men's golf squad to the team title at the Zach Johnson Invitational in West Des Moines, Iowa, tying for second in the individual standings.  The two-time Zach Johnson Invitational individual medalist (2015 & 2016), Bushong opened the tournament with a career-best four-under 67 and turned in matching 74's in the final two rounds to finish at two-over 215, one shot back of medalist Tyler Anderson of Loyola.  A marketing major, Bushong owns a 3.64 cumulative grade point average.
