Braves Open Season with Red-White Scrimmage

Junior Nate Kennell and sophomore Elijah Childs both scored 10 points to lead the White Team to a 31-28 victory over Team Red in Saturday's Red-White Scrimmage.

Both teams clicked on the offensive end in the first appearance in front of Bradley fans this season. White made 54.5 percent of its shots, while Red converted 58.8 percent from the field and 87.5 percent from 3-point range. Combined, the two units made 22-of-39 field goals (56.4 percent) and 11-of-18 3-pointers (61.1 percent) in the scrimmage.

Redshirt Antoine Pittman added seven points and two steals for Team White with senior Luqman Lundy recording six assists to just one turnover.

Senior Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye led Team Red with nine points, while Jayden Hodgson and Darrell Brown added six points apiece.

The Braves begins the 2018-19 season with a home exhibition game against Carroll University on Thursday, Nov. 1 before its regular-season opener on Wednesday, Nov. 7 versus UW-Parkside at Carver Arena.
