PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior libero Yavianliz Rosado (Morovis, Puerto Rico/Colegio Carmen Sol/San Jose State) has been named the Bradley Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after helping Bradley Volleyball extend its win streak to eight matches with a pair of home wins.

Rosado, who was named MVC Defensive Player of the Week Monday, averaged 7.43 digs per set in a pair of home victories as Bradley limited Indiana State and Evansville to a combined .163 hitting percentage to improve to 4-0 in MVC play and 14-2 overall.  She posted a career-best 35 digs in a four-set victory over Indiana State Friday and also had a pair of assists against the Sycamores. Rosado's 35 digs were the most at Bradley in a four-set match under the 25-point set format and was her school record sixth career 30-dig effort as a Brave. She capped the weekend with 17 digs and three assists in a sweep of Evansville Saturday, helping BU limit the Aces to a .143 hitting percentage.  A political science major, Rosado owns a 3.20 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Rosado and the Braves are back in action Friday, taking on Drake in a 7 p.m. match in Des Moines, Iowa, to open a two-match MVC road swing.
