Freshman Bozana Lojpur claimed a pair of third-place finishes, highlighting the final day of the 2018 MVC Women's Tennis Individual Championships

SPRINGFIELD, MO – Freshman Bozana Lojpur came away with a pair of third-place victories Sunday, highlighting the final day of competition in the 2018 Missouri Valley Conference Women's Tennis Individual Championships Sunday at Cooper Tennis Complex.

Bradley split its six matches in the final day of the tournament, coming up short in both of its championship matches. Sophomore Sandra Maletin (8-1) suffered her first singles loss of the season, falling to fellow 2018 MVC All-Select honoree Jelena Vujanic of Valparaiso in the Flight 1 Singles championship final, while freshman Nikki Perlwitz dropped her Flight 5 Singles championship match to Missouri State's Clara Gandara Gonzalez.

Lojpur teamed with senior Malini Wijesinghe for a 6-1 waltz against Drake's combo of Haleas/Walczak in the Flight 2 Doubles third-place match. Facing Walczak in the Flight 2 Singles third-place match, Lojpur rallied for a 3-6, 6-0, 10-1 victory.

In Bradley's third doubles match of the day, Victoria Gonzalez teamed with Perlwitz for an easy, 6-0 win against the Valparaiso duo of Modesto/Schoolcraft in the Flight 3 Doubles fifth-place match.

Bradley's seven players combined for a 16-11 (.593) record in the tournament's 10 flights of singles and doubles competition and the Braves posted at least a .500 record in nine of the 10 flights. The 16 individual wins equaled host Missouri State (eight players) for the second most in the tournament and Bradley's .593 winning percentage was second only to Stony Brook's 19-6 (.760) effort.

Bradley will conclude its fall season next weekend by competing in the 2018 ITA Central Regional Championships at the University of Iowa.
