PEORIA, Ill. -- Junior setter Hannah Angeli (Maplewood, Minn./Hill-Murray School/Nebraska-Omaha) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after helping Bradley Volleyball to a sweep of MVC regular-season co-champion Illinois State to close out the regular-season schedule for the Braves.

Angeli tallied five kills on eight attacks with no errors, in addition to collecting 30 assists, seven digs and a block in Bradley's first win over its I-74 rival since 2010.  In addition to helping the Braves snap a 12-match Illinois State win streak, Angeli led an offensive attack which hit .264 vs. the Redbirds for the fifth best hitting percentage for an ISU opponent this season and second-highest attack percentage for a Redbird foe in Valley play.  A health science major, Angeli owns a 3.56 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Angeli and Bradley Volleyball will face #6 seed Drake Thursday at 5 p.m. in an opening round match of the 2018 Missouri Valley Conference Championship in Springfield, Mo.
